The
Children’s Room at Tilton Library has
a “Drop in and Discover” theme to accommodate
the busy schedules of today’s families. We offer a comfortable
community space that is separate from the adult
section where:
· Kids
of all ages, reading levels, and interests can
find a wide variety of books, their favorite
movies, and a fun collection of
recorded books.
· We
enjoy helping our visitors find their
“must-read” books and introducing them to new
ones.
· We
are happy to work with students to find books
that support their school work or self designed
projects.
· Our
parent collection is close by so adults can be
near their children while they take the time to
browse.
· We
always have toys, puzzles and games available to
play with as well as a weekly activity.
· You
can always meet up with friends: by plan or by
chance!
· We
have a relaxed pre-school Story Time and a low
key craft or activity that lets your child get
used to being in a group. It meets on Wednesdays
at 11:00 a.m. all year long.
· We
are open when the library is open.
Monday 1pm to 8pm
Tuesday 2pm to
5pm
Wednesday 10am to 5pm
Thursday 1pm to 8pm
Saturday 9am to 1pm
We like it when we hear the
words, “There’s always something going on here!”
Teens at Tilton
In the summer of 2000, a
separate space was established at Tilton Library
for young adults – typically people in middle
school and high school. Graphic novels, popular
new fiction, series fiction, classics, magazines
and non-fiction can be found in the two areas
just off the upstairs front foyer. We welcome
suggestions for the areas, including ideas for
additions to the collection, use of space,
lighting and decoration.
Stop by either circulation
desk and let us know how we can help you –
whether you want to find a new book for
recreational reading or for a class or want us
to show you how to request books online or set
up an online reading history. We’re here for
you!
