MINDFUL MONDAYS: Sign-up Required

Learn to slow down, relax, and experience mindfulness in this free four-week workshop. We’ll explore the principles of mindfulness and teach meditation strategies including breath work, mindful movement, and mindful writing.Led by community members and mindfulness practitioners Jennie Donohue, Erika Higgins Ross, and Sara Coblyn. Limited to eight people, 18 years and older. Please wear comfortable clothing and feel free to bring a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow or cushion to sit on..

Knit & Crafts Circle is hosted by Sheep & Shawl (Liz Sorenson) at Tilton Library, South Deerfield. No registration required. Come one, come all! This is a social knit & crafts circle in the library’s backyard in the breezy shade of two big trees. A bathroom is available. You must bring your own chair, snacks, water, sunhat, sunglasses, crafts of your choosing – knitting, crochet, spinning, rug-hooking, mending, any portable craft …. If you need a table to work on (instead of your lap) there are several picnic tables. You may want to bring a plastic bag or tablecloth to keep your items clean on the table. Want to learn basic sewing skills but don’t know where to start? Join us for an evening full of snacks and supportive, trained staff from Swanson’s Fabrics! We will be making bags out of fabric that you can fill with anything your heart desires! Supplies & pizza dinner included. All experience levels welcome, open to students 6th through 12th grade. National Cocoa Day Celebration

While supplies last Have a cup of hot cocoa on us, to honor National Cocoa Day. Traditional and gluten/dairy free options. We’ll also have marshmallows and candy canes! And books about the history and uses of cocoa, as well as easy recipes to try at home. Upstairs at Tilton Library in Deerfield.
