Knit & Crafts Circle is hosted by Sheep & Shawl (Liz Sorenson) at Tilton Library, South Deerfield. No registration required. Come one, come all! This is a social knit & crafts circle in the library’s backyard in the breezy shade of two big trees. A bathroom is available. You must bring your own chair, snacks, water, sunhat, sunglasses, crafts of your choosing – knitting, crochet, spinning, rug-hooking, mending, any portable craft …. If you need a table to work on (instead of your lap) there are several picnic tables. You may want to bring a plastic bag or tablecloth to keep your items clean on the table. Friends COLLECTION Day for Books and Bags

The Friends of Tilton Library will be COLLECTING gently used RECENT books & purses on September 23 & 30, 10am-12pm at the Tilton Library in Deerfield We are looking for RECENT fiction, kids books, young adult books, and biographies. All books & purses must be in good condition and all potential donations will be reviewed by Friends members at the time of donation—only select items will be accepted. Books may only be donated during these collection days. The Book Sale will be on Saturday October 7, 9-12.

Make Your Own Bag–for Teens

Want to learn basic sewing skills but don’t know where to start? Join us for an evening full of snacks and supportive, trained staff from Swanson’s Fabrics! We will be making bags out of fabric that you can fill with anything your heart desires! Supplies & pizza dinner included. All experience levels welcome, open to students 6th through 12th grade. Spots are limited, please call or email Tilton Library to reserve your spot. Sponsored by a Deerfield Mass Cultural Council grant.

  Hosted by Tilton Library and the Atlas Farm Store Pumpkin decorating & Apple Tasting! There will be candy, crafts, & games for all ages and a special treat for coming in costume! Live music featuring local musicians. In case of of rain the event will be moved indoors.

A free class with local artist & author Keri Smith. LIMITED TO 8 PEOPLE, PLEASE SIGN UP: 413-665-4683 or tiltonlibrary@cwmars.org. Ages 12-adult. Join us for an afternoon of art activities from Keri's book The Guerilla Art Kit. We will create things to leave in your neighborhood, from a local "wish tree" to making your own stickers using home made wheat paste. We will explore the different methods of putting your message out into the world, using techniques that are safe, fun and non-toxic.

National Cocoa Day Celebration

While supplies last Have a cup of hot cocoa on us, to honor National Cocoa Day. Traditional and gluten/dairy free options. We’ll also have marshmallows and candy canes! And books about the history and uses of cocoa, as well as easy recipes to try at home. Upstairs at Tilton Library in Deerfield.
