DESCRIPTION:In the 1930’s and 40’s America swung to the sounds of the big bands; Duke Ellington and Count Basie. Tunes like “Do Nothin Till You Hear From Me\,” “Caravan\,” and “Take the A-Train.” And no place was more swingin than the Hey Hey Club in Kansas City. America also loved music from the American Songbook: Paul McCartney’s favorite composer\, Cole Porter’s “I’ve Got You Under My Skin\,” or Harold Arlen’s “If I Only Had a Brain\, “ from the Wiz of Oz. \n\nAptly named\,  the 7 piece Hey Hey Club swings that music for your pleasure. We invite you to join us on June 25th\, 2pm\, at the Tilton Library stage.\n\n\nThis program funded by the Deerfield Cultural Council.
