SUMMARY:CANCELLED - Sign-up Required: Writing Duplex Poetry with Julie
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE SIGN UP: CALL 413-665-4683\, or VISIT a circulation desk at Tilton\, or EMAIL Julie at jcavacco@cwmars.org. LIMITED TO 5 STUDENTS.\n\n\nTHIS SERIES CELEBRATES POETRY MONTH IN APRIL:\n6 WORKSHOPS AND 2 POETRY READINGS. Sign Up for one or all! Space is limited to 5 students. Participants are welcome to submit a piece of their work for an anthology \nThis workshop is taught by Julie Cavacco. Julie discovered the new form called Duplex this past summer. Jericho Brown developed the form and wrote\, “I write in forms because formal work helps to push me toward saying what I couldn’t imagine I would say in a poem.” Duplex is meant to be thoughtful and bluesy. When you begin it the form brings you to an end that you couldn’t have planned. \nAges 9-adult \n  \nOTHER WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS IN THIS SERIES (SEE OUR EVENTS SECTION): \nLouise Mahoney will lead four workshops where participants will be given handmade books to record their work \nThere will also be two poetry readings for the workshop participants and the general public – no need to sign up. \n  \nBrought to you by Tilton Library and the Deerfield Mass Cultural Council \n\n\n
