Building Project Milestones Letter to Community

May 2024

Hello Tilton Community Member:

I hope that this finds you doing well and having a wonderful spring season!

Since the successful vote for our library building expansion project, we have been working hard to make the dream of an expanded library to better serve all the people in Deerfield – from toddlers to seniors – a reality.

Just recently we have reached three exciting milestones:

As was reflected in the groundbreaking ceremony speeches, our library is a vibrant center of our town. We welcome everyone and provide a safe environment to: explore the world through literature, access essential digital and community services, and connect with others to share and celebrate new knowledge. Strong libraries support healthy communities, promote learning, inspiration, and connection. We bolster town centers, bring people into the neighborhood, and create economic opportunities for local commerce and civic groups. The expansion will do just that – expand opportunities, in so many ways for so many people.

We are writing to invite you to help us meet the Tilton Fund goal of $2M by the time the new building opens in 2025. For you this could mean another donation in addition to the generous gift you have bestowed, or it could mean a first time donation given to a project on the way to completion. We are so grateful for all gifts!

Can we count on your support? Thank you for supporting our future library.

Very truly yours –
