Fall Out, Fall In
Artist’s Statement:
I use acrylic paints to reproduce what I imagine.
There is a line of thought which has been central to the recent art you see here.
In philosophical traditions, from Buddhism to Psychiatry, the mind is conceptualized as a fragmented entity.
Unity and cohesion characterize the bookends of our lives – the innocence of birth and the wisdom of enlightenment / actualization.
Between these extremes, we experience an ego that is splintered and dynamic – in constant shift.
Where are we at any given moment?
Are we falling apart, or knitting ourselves back together?
