Want to learn basic sewing skills but don’t know where to start? Join us for an evening full of snacks and supportive, trained staff from Swanson’s Fabrics! We will be making bags out of fabric that you can fill with anything your heart desires! Supplies & pizza dinner included. All experience levels welcome, open to students 6th through 12th grade. Spots are limited, please call or email Tilton Library to reserve your spot. Sponsored by a Deerfield Mass Cultural Council grant.

National Cocoa Day Celebration

While supplies last Have a cup of hot cocoa on us, to honor National Cocoa Day. Traditional and gluten/dairy free options. We’ll also have marshmallows and candy canes! And books about the history and uses of cocoa, as well as easy recipes to try at home. Upstairs at Tilton Library in Deerfield.

Sign a Beam and Be a Part of The Library

Help us celebrate a construction milestone - the steel frame is just about complete! You can sign the last beam to go up. Stop by the Tilton Library - IN FRONT OF THE THE TEMP LIBRARY SPACE /CHURCH ON THE LAWN NEAR THE FENCE - on 8:00 AM Wednesday September 4 through 8:00 PM Thursday September 5, and become a permanent part of your new library! Join your friends and neighbors in signing the steel beam, which will be a part of the building. Come to the library construction site area (there will be signs saying where) and add your signature; markers will available, but you are welcome to bring your own. Open to everyone, this is a rain or shine event. Don’t miss this chance to add your name to a part of Deerfield history! ALSO: The children's room will construct their own non-structural item for kids to sign, which will be placed or hung in the children's room. Stay tuned for information on what/when this will be!

Virtual Watercolor Class – Poppies

PLEASE SIGN UP: AGES 18+. Hosted by Tilton Library and Pop-up Art School. Discover how to layer translucent watercolor paint to create a realistic rendering of this striking flower. Watercolor paint is the perfect medium for the delicate leaves of poppies. You'll learn the basics of painting with watercolors and create two paintings of poppies by the end of the program. VIRTUAL WEEKLY CLASS: Qigong for Adults

TILTON IS CO-HOSTING THIS FREE WEEKLY CLASS, SPONSORED BY SUNDERLAND LIBRARY. Dvora Eisenstein leads this free weekly Qigong class on Zoom. Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system integrating slow movements, breathing techniques, and focused intention. Qigong calms your mind, improves your balance, and enhances health.
