The Board of Trustees are an elected town body which is entrusted with overseeing, maintaining and planning the future for the most democratic of all our public institutions, the public library. Library Board members are responsible for working with other board members to oversee the library, establishing policy and plans, determining the final budget and conducting public relations. Bring your favorite poem with you as we gather together for a community hike up Mount Sugarloaf. We will split into two groups: one walking up the road and the other hiking up the main trail (both hikes are approximately one mile and take 30 minutes). We will meet at the top to read aloud our favorite poems and share light refreshments. Please bring your own water. This program in celebration of National Poem in Your Pocket Day is brought to you by Sunderland Public Library and Tilton Library.
