Third Thursday Book Discussion – The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

Budding cartoonist Junior leaves his troubled school on the Spokane Indian Reservation to attend an all-white farm town school where the only other Indian is the school mascot.  National Book Award winner Third Thursday is an informal group, open to all, no sign up necessary. Mystery Book Group – Uncle Janice by Matt Burgess

An undercover narcotics officer who works the streets of Queens, Janice Itwaru, trying to meet the impossibly high quota of drug busts needed to make detective, must decide which evil to confront in order to meet her deadline. Join us on the first Monday of the month for a lively discussion of this month’s title and other of life’s mysteries. Copies of the book are usually available at the circulation desk or can be reserved online or by asking at the desk. This discussion also features cheese pizza while it lasts. Free and open to all.

Art Auction Opening Reception

The Friends of Tilton Library present the second annual art auction to benefit Tilton Library. Featuring original art by local artists and held during the month of October at the Library.  Bidding starts at the opening reception on Friday, October 2nd and continues through October at Tilton.  Come see the art, make a bid, enjoy the refreshments, meet your friends and neighbors.
