Art Auction Closing Celebration

Original art by local artists!  This is our last chance to bid this year's art auction items.  All art will be at table level for  close examination.  The party starts at 6 and the last bids will be at 7.  Refreshments and free and open to all.  A Friends of Tilton Library fund raising event. Friends of Tilton Library Annual Meeting

The agenda for the annual meeting of the Friends of Tilton Library, Inc. includes election of officers and pie.  Please join us. Friends of Tilton Library, Inc. is a separate 501(c)3 membership organization and is open to anyone who wants to join. The Friends mission is to encourage and promote the enrichment and use of the library and to foster support for the library in the community. For people who want to show their support and appreciation of Tilton Library, being a Friend is the first step. Annual dues continue to be $15 per year and if necessary, you can contribute your time in lieu of dues. Come check us out at our monthly meetings at the library.

Tilton Library Board of Trustees Meeting

The Board of Trustees are an elected town body which is entrusted with overseeing, maintaining and planning the future for the most democratic of all our public institutions, the public library. Library Board members are responsible for working with other board members to oversee the library, establishing policy and plans, determining the final budget and conducting public relations. The powers and duties of trustees are covered in Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 78, section 10-13. Meeting agenda is posted at Deerfield Town Hall at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting

Mystery Book Discussion – A Beautiful Place to Die by Malla Nunn

Join us on the first Monday of the month for a lively discussion of this month’s title and other of life’s mysteries. Copies of the book are usually available at the circulation desk or can be reserved online or by asking at the desk. This discussion also features cheese pizza while it lasts. Free and open to all.

Henna Art – Connecting Reading, Culture & Art

Henna artist Sara Root Simone will paint a design for you in four sessions in this open house style event for kids, teens and adults.  We'll talk about "Henna House" by Nomi Eve (adults); "Secrets of a Henna Girl" by Sufiya Ahmed (teens); and "Hanna the Henna Helper" by Klaire Pearson (kids).  Sign up at either circulation desk for this free event sponsored by the Friends of Tilton Library.
