January 2017 Lego Challenge

Who will be recognized among their peers as an exceptional Lego builder? 1) In January build a freestyle LEGO creation at home or at Tilton. 2) Count the number of LEGOS you use as you go. 3) Take a picture of your creation (with no people) and email it to jcavacco@cwmars.org along with the number of pieces, name and age of child. We will label them in categories considering age and number of pieces. We’ll post them anonymously onto our Facebook page under the event JANUARY 2017 LEGO CHALLENGE. On Wednesday, Feb. 1st voting will open up. You will vote by “liking” the picture OR by emailing jcavacco@cwmars.org the creations you like best by noon on Friday, Feb 3rd. You may vote for more than one. On Saturday, Feb. 4th the winners will be announced between 10-11am

Valentine Cards in Children’s Room

Visit our Children's Room. Make a card to give to a friend for Valentine's Day. You can also complete our puzzle to answer the clues to get the combination to unlock an envelope where there are some Valentine stickers to add to your card.

Love Your Library Campaign

We're collecting love letters for Tilton to share all the great programs, books, and features we love. Come in and fill out a Valentine through Friday, February 17th, 2017.

Friends of Tilton Library Meeting

Friends of Tilton Library, Inc. is a separate 501(c)(3) membership organization and is open to anyone who wants to join. The Friends mission is to encourage and promote the enrichment and use of the library and to foster support for the library in the community. For people who want to show their support and appreciation of Tilton Library, being a Friend is the first step. Annual dues continue to be $15 per year and if necessary, you can contribute your time in lieu of dues. Come check us out at our monthly meetings at the library.

Parent Discussion Group

Please note date change! We encourage any and all parents to join us in the children’s room – nesters and empty nesters, grandparents, parents to be, etc. We’ll use our collection of current and classic parenting books as a jumping off point.

Do you want to be a better English speaker? This free program is for all people who wish to practice speaking English in a relaxed setting.

Art at Tilton “Winterscapes” – watercolors by Greg Cangialosi

Artist's statement: "After more than 40 years of making watercolors paintings I am still inspired by the winter landscape and I hope in some small way these humble paintings reflect the beauty and wonder I see in it." All works are archivally framed. All displayed art is for sale and a portion of the proceeds benefit Tilton Library.
