SUMMER LIBRARY PROGRAM: A Universe of Stories! FOR THE KIDS: The cow jumped over the moon! This summer as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, the children's library will have a variety of activities, games, lego programs, music, playtime, board game nights, and of course READING! Sign up and play along and be sure to get your moon pies and other rewards for participating! Also look out for space-related activities at the Monday Night Music concerts and bookmarks with links to really interesting space-related websites. SUMMER LIBRARY PROGRAM: A Universe of Stories This summer  we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Upstairs at the library there will be some drop-in self-directed activities as well as a Book Review Challenge, which asks you to submit a very brief book rating and review card for a small prize and a ticket for a chance to WIN a $100 Gift Card to Atlas Farms or Greenfield Games! Tell us if a book brings you to the moon and back, or leaves you lost in space. Also look out for space-related activities at the Monday Night Music concerts and bookmarks with links to really interesting space-related websites. LUMINARIES: Summer Drop-in Craft for Teens & Adults

This summer  we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Upstairs at the library there will be a drop-in craft for teens and adults: Make Your Own LUMINARY! All materials and instructions provided upstairs in the computer area. After you complete your luminary, bring it home home, put a tea candle, LED candle, or battery-operated string of lights inside and light up your world! The Tilton Summer Library Program is brought to you by the Friends of the Tilton Library.

Monday Night Music outdoor concert

Michael Graffius Mike plays a mix of originals and cover songs inspired by a long list of singer-songwriters that include Woody Guthrie, Donovan, and Billy Joel.

Outdoor Adventure Story Time – Second Tuesdays

Sign up to join our children's librarian,  Julie, for a series of outdoor Adventure Story Times on the the second Tuesdays of May-October! Places may include Mt. Sugarloaf, a local swimming hole, water garden, or apple orchard. Email Julie Cavacco at jcavacco@cwmars.org to sign up. Julie will provide the next month's location  or cancel if needed via email.

Story & Play Time

We meet at 11 in the children’s room and start the story at about 10 after. We also have outdoor play time on the back lawn, weather permitting. Story  and Play Time is free and open to all children ages infant-4 years old and their caregivers. No sign up needed.

Summer Dungeons & Dragons Group

Sign-up Required. Limited to 6 players. Ages 9-13.   8 Wednesdays 1:30-3:30, Starting June 19 Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy role-playing game, allowing players to collaborate as storytellers. No experience necessary, though experienced players are welcome. Participants will be walked through character creation and the flow of the game. Materials provided, although you may bring along your own if you wish. Make friends and get creative! Please stop by the library or call 413-665-4683 to sign up.

Knitting Group

PLEASE SIGN UP – LIMITED TO 10 PARTICIPANTS. Stop by the library or call 413-665-4683. Do you enjoy knitting and a nice group chat?  Sign up for the Knitting Group, upstairs at the Tilton Library. Bring your own knitting or crochet projects or follow a given pattern, and we’ll chat as we work. Possible special projects for charity will also be an option. Come relax and work with yarn! We’re happy to help if you’re new to knitting or you’ve reached a tricky point in your pattern. Beginner or experienced knitters welcome. FREE.
