Reading from a new book of poetry, Uprooting, by Linda M. Rhinehart Neas, inspired by years of teaching immigrants English as a second language. The poems paint a powerful picture of classroom life as well as the lives of students. Books will be available for sale and signing. Profits will go to the Library Building Expansion fund.
TILTON IS CO-HOSTING THIS FREE WEEKLY CLASS, SPONSORED BY SUNDERLAND LIBRARY. Dvora Eisenstein leads this free weekly Qigong class on Zoom. Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system integrating slow movements, breathing techniques, and focused intention. Qigong calms your mind, improves your balance, and enhances health. The indoor crafts circle requires registration as seats are limited. (But up to 12 are allowed as we will meet upstairs this year!) Masks are strongly recommended. J-lo is a trained therapy dog and she will be visiting the children's room twice a month. The First Tuesday of the Month, 10:30-11:30am at Story Time Tuesday 10/18, 12/20, & Monday 11/14, 3-4pm After School Stop by to read her a story or just give her some love!

Ever wish you had more space at the library for people your own age? Come by the Tilton Library while it's closed to the rest of the public. Staff will be on-site, but teens are welcome to study for finals, eat snacks, play games, craft, and just chill out! Special guest appearance by J-lo, our trained and certified therapy dog.
