Town of Deerfield Special Town Meeting

The library has two articles on the warrant - one asking the town to give us permission to apply to the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners for a construction grant and another to accept the schematic design.

Preschool Story Time

Baby Time

Every Friday at 10 am. No sign ups needed. Our picture book area will be reserved for the littlest of our patrons to roll around (or practice standing) and meet eye to eye with their peers. All babies and their caregivers welcome. Free coffee for grownups (while it lasts).

Friends of Tilton Library

Friends of Tilton Library, Inc. is a separate 501(c)(3) membership organization and is open to anyone who wants to join. The Friends mission is to encourage and promote the enrichment and use of the library and to foster support for the library in the community. For people who want to show their support and appreciation of Tilton Library, being a Friend is the first step. Annual dues continue to be $15 per year and if necessary, you can contribute your time in lieu of dues. Come check us out at our monthly meetings at the library.

Thirsty Thursday

Stay in the Game and join us in the children's room for ice cream floats and card games.  Designed for kids but open to all.  This free summer reading program is sponsored by Friends of Tilton Library.

Third Thursday Book Discussion – The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown

Daniel James Brown's robust book tells the story of the University of Washingtons 1936 eight-oar crew and their epic quest for an Olympic gold medal, a team that transformed the sport and grabbed the attention of millions of Americans. Third Thursday is an informal group, open to all, no sign up necessary. Reserve your book at the adult circulation desk or online.

English Conversation Group

Do you want to practice your English? Come to a conversation group at Tilton Library this summer on Thursdays* at 6:30. Facilitated by Michael Pollitt and organized by the Center for New Americans this drop-in program is free and open to all. Please note new day for summer!  Because of summer library programming we will meet either outside at the picnic table (weather permitting), inside in the children's room or upstairs near the book shelves by the fireplace.  See you soon!
