Monday Night Music – Machine Shop

(formerly Industrial Waste)  These longtime UMass jammers play a crowd-pleasing acoustic assortment of old-time, Irish, and contradance tunes. Fun for all ages! Performances are held on the lawn of Tilton Library (or inside the Children’s Room in case of bad weather.) Bring a chair and a friend. This free event is sponsored by Friends of Tilton Library.

TUnESDAY!

On four Tuesdays this summer we'll have a musical grab bag or a "cake walk" (like musical chairs) - we think of it as games with music.  Designed for kids but opened to all.  No sign ups needed.  This free summer library program is sponsored by Friends of Tilton.  Can't make this event?  Come back on July 19, August 9 and/or August 30.

English Conversation Circle

Do you want to practice your English? Come to a conversation group at Tilton Library on Thursdays at 6:30. Facilitated by Michael Pollitt and organized by the Center for New Americans this drop-in program is free and open to all. Please note new day for summer!  Because of summer library programming we will meet either outside at the picnic table (weather permitting), inside in the children's room or upstairs near the book shelves by the fireplace.  See you soon!

Third Thursday Book Discussion – The Vacationers by Emma Straub

Celebrating their thirty-fifth anniversary and their daughter's high-school graduation during a two-week vacation in Mallorca, Franny and Jim Post confront old secrets, hurts, and rivalries that reveal sides of themselves they try to conceal. Third Thursday is an informal group, open to all, no sign up necessary. Reserve your book at the adult circulation desk or online.

Baby Time

Every Friday at 10 am. No sign ups needed. Our picture book area will be reserved for the littlest of our patrons to roll around (or practice standing) and meet eye to eye with their peers. All babies and their caregivers welcome. Free coffee for grownups (while it lasts).

Monday Night Music – Tyler Conroy

Exuberant local musician who loves performing at all venues. Locally and nationally he’s known, as his Facebook bio says, “Living life fearlessly one Taylor Swift song at a time.” Fun for all ages! Performances are held on the lawn of Tilton Library (or inside the Children’s Room in case of bad weather.) Bring a chair and a friend. This free event is sponsored by Friends of Tilton Library.
