The Directors of the Friends meet on the first Monday of every month except on holidays when the meeting is usually re-scheduled to the following Monday. Members of the Friends and the public are welcome to attend all Friends of the Library meetings.

Open public meeting. Agenda posted at Deerfield Town Hall. This nine member board is comprised of five elected positions and four permanent positions. The Board of Trustees is a town department legally responsible for the provision of library services.
Mystery and suspense readers are invited to the library on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 for a lively discussion of the book and other of life’s mysteries. This month’s title, "Raven Black" won the Duncan Lawrie Dagger Award for the best crime novel of the year. The novel is the first in a series known as the Shetland Island series.
