The Friends mission is to encourage and promote the enrichment and use of the library and to foster support for the library in the community. We meet at 11 in the children's room and start the story at about 10 after. A trained therapy dog, Duffy, visits us after that and then we feed the worms in our vermiculture worm bin. Story time is free and open to all preschool children and their caregivers. No sign up needed.
The Board of Trustees are an elected town body which is entrusted with overseeing, maintaining and planning the future for the most democratic of all our public institutions, the public library. Introducing "Brother", an easy to use modern sewing machine which will be available for loan in March. Katie will demonstrate its use and will go over the basics in prepartion for lending. Katie will also be on hand to offer sewing tips or answer questions about your ongoing (or stalled) sewing projects. Sign up at the library for this unique program. Three different times are being offered - Thursday, February 8 at 6:30, Saturday, February 10 at 11:00 and Tuesday, February 13 at 2:00. Free and open to all.
