In her quest to connect with Robin Hood, the father she has never met, thirteen-year-old Rosemary disguises herself as a boy, befriends a half-wolf, half-dog, a runaway princess, and an overgrown boy whose singing is hypnotic, and makes peace with her elfin heritage. This book talk will be presented by Reba-Jean Shaw-Pichette. Sponsored by the Friends of Tilton Library it is free and open to all ages. Sign up is needed for free pizza.
And the Neighbors is the acoustic duo of Dave Houghton and Debra DeMuth from Conway, Mass. They acquire their sound from the roots of Appalachia with a flair of the Lower East Side. Performances by local musicians are held on the lawn of Tilton Library (or inside the Children’s Room in case of bad weather.) Bring a chair and a friend. Kerry Stone's colorful paintings are still lifes and paintings from the garden and nature. On display through mid-September this exhibit is worth a trip to the library.
Friends of Tilton Library, Inc. is a separate 501(c)3 membership organization and is open to anyone who wants to join. The Friends mission is to encourage and promote the enrichment and use of the library and to foster support for the library in the community. For people who want to show their support and appreciation of Tilton Library, being a Friend is the first step. Annual dues continue to be $15 per year and if necessary, you can contribute your time in lieu of dues. Come check us out at our monthly meetings at the library.

The Board of Trustees are an elected town body which is entrusted with overseeing, maintaining and planning the future for the most democratic of all our public institutions, the public library. Library Board members are responsible for working with other board members to oversee the library, establishing policy and plans, determining the final budget and conducting public relations. The powers and duties of trustees are covered in Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 78, section 10-13. Meeting agenda is posted at Deerfield Town Hall at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
