Be heroic this summer with Tilton Library! Our summer library program begins Monday, June 15th at 6:15 with hot dogs, ice cream and student showcase. Reading challenges, rewards and treats continue through August 10th. Free and open to all ages. Journey of Surrealism: Visions by Agnes Kasa Temesvari oil and other mixed media through July
John has been bringing his hybrid style of folk music to the Valley since 2008. Don’t miss this unique and talented young performer. Performances by local musicians are held on the lawn of Tilton Library (or inside the Children’s Room in case of bad weather.) Bring a chair and a friend. Monday Night Music is sponsored by the Friends of Tilton Library and is free and open to the public.
The first of three book talks with Reba-Jean Shaw-Pichette, in costume. Join us for the talk and free pizza, sponsored by the Friends of Tilton. (Sign ups for pizza needed.) Free and open to all ages. Wonder is the story of ten-year-old Auggie Pullman, who was born with extreme facial abnormalities and was not expected to survive. He goes from being home-schooled to entering fifth grade at a private middle school in Manhattan, which entails enduring the taunting and fear of his classmates as he struggles to be seen as just another student.
