Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system integrating slow movements, breathing techniques, and focused intention. Qigong calms your mind, improves your balance, and enhances health. Knit & Crafts Circle is hosted by Sheep & Shawl (Liz Sorenson) at Tilton Library, South Deerfield. No registration required. Come one, come all! This is a social knit & crafts circle in the library’s backyard in the breezy shade of two big trees. A bathroom is available. You must bring your own chair, snacks, water, sunhat, sunglasses, crafts of your choosing – knitting, crochet, spinning, rug-hooking, mending, any portable craft …. If you need a table to work on (instead of your lap) there are several picnic tables. You may want to bring a plastic bag or tablecloth to keep your items clean on the table. All ages & abilities welcome! Drop in the children's room for a relaxed story hour, listen to books, play, make crafts, and visit our bearded dragon! The library is closed on Tuesdays at 10:30, but our door will be open for Story time families.
The Grumpytime Club Band is a red and gold family music party band including kid musicians and costumed dancers. Playing original music from Carrie Ferguson’s award-winning 2021 album, The Grumpytime Club, they spent 2022 rocking fairs and festivals with their high-energy funky folk-pop. Featuring a shifting pallet of horn, violin, guitar, keys, bass and drums, their music is highly danceable and truly fun for all ages, highlighting themes of inclusivity, social justice, Earth stewardship and LGBTQ youth/family pride.
