Joins us at the Deerfield Town Hall, 8 Conway St, South Deerfield, MA 01373 for a Family Friendly Event for all ages & levels of experience.  ALL participants will use beautiful, authentic drums and percussion instruments! Otha leads these fun and lively drum circle events from the core belief that rhythm can build community, promote well-being and healing, and create joy. He supports participants as they learn about the importance of rhythm in all aspects of life while taking part in activities and experiences, showing them that their heartbeat and breath are the rhythms of the soul and the pathways of connection to everyone.   Funded by the Deerfield Cultural Council and the Friends of Tilton Library

LIBRARIES IN THE WOODS SERIES PRESENTS: Presentation by Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary After reading A Stranger in the Woods, come learn about the woods in Massachusetts. Via a PowerPoint presentation discover the types of forests in our state, some of the changes over time, and some of the birds and wildlife that can be found here. We will also discuss some plants that can be edible as well as plants and animals to be cautious of. LIBRARIES IN THE WOODS is a community-read program of 10 local libraries, featuring discussion and related programs on the book, “Stranger in the Woods: The extraordinary story of the last true hermit” by Michael Finkel. We encourage you to sign up to attend one of the other sessions (Thurs 4/4 6-8:30pm or Sat 4/13 12-3pm). There are a number of people signed up already but there is also room for more.
