Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system integrating slow movements, breathing techniques, and focused intention. Qigong calms your mind, improves your balance, and enhances health. Flower Pounding Workshop

SIGN UP:  LIMITED TO 12 PEOPLE 413-665-4683   Join us for this hands-on workshop and learn an ancient method of preserving flowers & leaves that takes little time and minimal tools. Create a design on fabric and personalized stationery with flowers & foliage. Be prepared to pound! Bring a hammer with a flat head, a terry cloth work towel, and a few blooms from your garden. FAMILY YOGA Mt. Sugarloaf

Part of a FREE series hosted by Tilton and Sunderland Libraries at Mt. Sugarloaf this fall: FAMILY YOGA: Thurs 9/22, 10-11am (rain date 9/23), Top of Mt. Sugarloaf Ages 0 - 8 and their caregivers. Yoga instructor Sara Coblyn will connect children to nature through yoga and mindfulness exercises. Suitable for people of all skill levels. FOREST BATHING Sunderland Library

Part of a FREE series hosted by Tilton and Sunderland Libraries at Mt. Sugarloaf this fall: FOREST BATHING: Fri 9/23, 5:30-7:30pm, Shuttle Bus leaves from Sunderland Public Library at 5:30 PM and will return to Sunderland Public Library at the end of the program. No rain date. Unplug for a few hours and take a rejuvenating stroll through the forest, led by Sunderland's Adventure East. This is a gentle and mindful outdoor experience that will allow you to connect deeply to the healing powers of nature. You will saunter along woodland trails, immersing yourself in the sights and sounds all around you, allowing you to become acquainted with life in the forest. LIMITED TO 13 PARTICIPANTS. TREE I.D. WALK Mt. Sugarloaf

WALK: Tues 9/27, 5-6pm (rain date 9/29) Sugarloaf Parking Lot Laura Beltran, Teacher/Naturalist with Mass Audubon Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary, will lead a casual walk at the base of Mt. Sugarloaf, exploring trees and changing autumn foliage. Discover tree leaves, buds, and bark as clues to identification. Learn about our forest communities, how they are changing, and what we can do to improve forest health.

Young Adult Outdoor Movie Night

Teen Movie Pick: the Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Come enjoy this quirky, heartfelt comedy, from director Taika Waititi, out on the Tilton Library lawn. Watch as an unlikely duo, one troubled kid and his reluctant foster dad, after they find themselves on the run and depending on each other for survival. Refreshments included. Movie starts at 7 p.m., but attendees are welcome to start setting up at 6:30 p.m. Bring your own camping chairs and blankets.

A FRIENDS OF THE TILTON LIBRARY BENEFIT: Autumn Wish List Tree Participate in this self-serve donation activity to help the library fund the things you want! • Pick a “wish list leaf” • Put your donation inside • Leave it inside the library’s secure drop box...OR hand it to a Tilton Library staff person. Make checks out to Friends of Tilton Library. Outside the library for the month of October.
