Dinosaurs in Deerfield Reading the Rocks

Tilton Library 71 North Main Street, South Deerfield, MA, United States

Presented by Amherst College Students behind the Tilton Library. Explore fossils and gems from the Rock, Fossil and Dinosaur Shop. Scientists examine rocks to learn about life in the distant past. Some rocks tell us a bit about what critters may have looked liked, while other rocks give us a sense of what the critters used to do. Some of the first people to notice these special rocks once lived and worked in Deerfield many years ago. One of the earliest discoveries was made by a local teenager.
