This session will provide information about the approved schematic design to expand our existing historical library and about the timeline for the construction grant. The input of Deerfield residents is crucial; comments and suggestions are welcome at this meeting. Library trustees, committee members, the library director, the OPM and the designer will be present at this important second meeting to show and discuss the schematic drawings. Please join us! |

Join us on the first Monday of the month for a lively discussion of this month’s title and other of life’s mysteries. The intense and vibrant color pastels create along with texture like soft velvet is very exciting to me. I love the adventure of trying something new. The library has two articles on the warrant - one asking the town to give us permission to apply to the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners for a construction grant and another to accept the schematic design.

The Board of Trustees are an elected town body which is entrusted with overseeing, maintaining and planning the future for the most democratic of all our public institutions, the public library. Library Board members are responsible for working with other board members to oversee the library, establishing policy and plans, determining the final budget and conducting public relations. The powers and duties of trustees are covered in Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 78, section 10-13. Meeting agenda is posted at Deerfield Town Hall at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting |

The Friends mission is to encourage and promote the enrichment and use of the library and to foster support for the library in the community.
