Who will be recognized among their peers as an exceptional Lego builder? 1) In January build a freestyle LEGO creation at home or at Tilton. 2) Count the number of LEGOS you use as you go. 3) Take a picture of your creation (with no people) and email it to jcavacco@cwmars.org along with the number of pieces, name and age of child. We will label them in categories considering age and number of pieces. We’ll post them anonymously onto our Facebook page under the event JANUARY 2017 LEGO CHALLENGE. On Wednesday, Feb. 1st voting will open up. You will vote by “liking” the picture OR by emailing jcavacco@cwmars.org the creations you like best by noon on Friday, Feb 3rd. You may vote for more than one. On Saturday, Feb. 4th the winners will be announced between 10-11am
We're collecting love letters for Tilton to share all the great programs, books, and features we love. Come in and fill out a Valentine through Friday, February 17th, 2017.
Visit our Children's Room. Make a card to give to a friend for Valentine's Day. You can also complete our puzzle to answer the clues to get the combination to unlock an envelope where there are some Valentine stickers to add to your card.
Let’s get reading! No sign up needed – all children 0-5 (and their caregivers) are welcome.
The Board of Trustees are an elected town body which is entrusted with overseeing, maintaining and planning the future for the most democratic of all our public institutions, the public library. Library Board members are responsible for working with other board members to oversee the library, establishing policy and plans, determining the final budget and conducting public relations. The powers and duties of trustees are covered in Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 78, section 10-13. Meeting agenda is posted at Deerfield Town Hall at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting
1867. Winter has just tightened its grip on Dove River, an isolated settlement in Canada's Northern Territory, when a man is brutally murdered. A local woman, Mrs. Ross, stumbles upon the crime scene and sees tracks leading from the dead man's cabin north toward the forest and the tundra beyond. But soon she makes another discovery: her son has disappeared and is now considered a prime suspect. A variety of outsiders are drawn to the crime and to the township--but do they want to solve the crime or exploit it? One by one, searchers set out to follow the tracks across a desolate landscape, variously seeking a murderer, a son, two sisters missing for seventeen years, and a forgotten Native American culture before the snows settle and cover the tracks of the past for good.1867.
