SIGN UP: Winter Wildlife Tracking

Inclement weather date 3/11   Meet at Pocumtuck Range Trail, Pine Nook Road parking lot (behind Eaglebrook School - see link and map below), Deerfield, MA Enjoy a walk in the winter woods on the Pocumtuck Range Trail with Laura Beltran from the Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary. At one time being able to read tracks was vital for survival. Tracking is more than simply finding a trail and following it and prints aren't always necessary to track an animal. The forest is full of signs that tell us about the wildlife within.  We will discuss how animals spend the winter and learn to read the tracks and signs left by animals that live in our area. Dress in warm comfortable winter layers with footwear appropriate for walking on a trail in winter.   LIMITED TO 10 STUDENTS, PLEASE SIGN UP. CALL OR EMAIL TILTONLIBRARY@CWMARS.ORG https://pocumtuck.org/trail/   Funded by the Friends of Tilton Library.
