The book, Different Kinds of Hurt: Isaac's Story by Leigh Hallisey is part of a Massachusetts Department of Public Health Campaign. The Story Walk will be in the Tilton Library backyard October 4 - October 15. Online Workshop with artist/activist Chelvanaya Gabriel Explore personal and community identity, diversity, inclusion and equity - all based partly on intergroup dialogue principles of communicating across difference, creating shared meaning and building trust. We will do this through creative expression and contemplative practice in both small and large group sharing “circles." LIMITED TO 25 STUDENTS. Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system integrating slow movements, breathing techniques, and focused intention. Qigong calms your mind, improves your balance, and enhances health. Learn the basics about what a service dog is and how it is different than other dogs. Ask questions and meet real service dogs! Local student, author, dog trainer, and Girl Scout Catherine "Cat" Bezio will visit Tilton to talk about her experience training service dogs and how services dogs should be approached when they are on the job! Her recently published book will be available to purchase. Jess Mattson, President of J.M. Animal Training and Rescue, https://jmanimaltraining.com/about-us, will be bringing her two service dogs and will be in attendance. This event will take place outside.
