Book Sale

The Friends of Tilton Library are holding a Book Sale. Come browse excellent contemporary fiction, history, biographies, children's books, and young adult books! Out front of the library from 9am - 12pm. $5.00 for a bag of books from 11:30-12!

CYANOTYPE CLASS: Sign-up Required

In the Tilton Library backyard with artist Madge Evers. Rain date Saturday June 3. Limited to 15: please sign up. Stop by the library, call 413-665-4683, or send an email to tiltonlibrary@cwmars.org to reserve your spot! Magical and simple cyanotypes are a camera-less technique that results in graphic blue and white prints. Developed in 1852, this alternative photographic process uses a light-sensitive solution on paper, sunlight, and pressed plants to make beautiful botanical images. Participants will make one cyanotype print to take home. Funded by the Friends of Tilton Library.

Updated Design: Forum at Town Hall

Save the date! Join the Tilton Library Building Committee, Board of Library Trustees, Library Director, Architect and Project Manager for the public forum where the Deerfield community can see the unveiling of the revised Building Expansion design, ask questions, and give feedback. This forum will take place at Town Hall in South Deerfield on May 16 at 6pm- we look forward to seeing you there!

Knit & Crafts Circle is hosted by Sheep & Shawl (Liz Sorenson) at Tilton Library, South Deerfield. No registration required. Come one, come all! This is a social knit & crafts circle in the library’s backyard in the breezy shade of two big trees. A bathroom is available. You must bring your own chair, snacks, water, sunhat, sunglasses, crafts of your choosing – knitting, crochet, spinning, rug-hooking, mending, any portable craft …. If you need a table to work on (instead of your lap) there are several picnic tables. You may want to bring a plastic bag or tablecloth to keep your items clean on the table.
